September is among us, folks.

Not to jump the gun here or anything but another year is *almost* over. Can you believe it’s already SEPTEMBER??! I’m still mentally stuck back in December of 2019 before the world took a turn in every facet of life. But I digress, given the new month, I wanted to share about some of the exciting things that come with September. I also recently found out a little #funfact from #tiktok that my fellow coffee lovers are sure to love. Hint: free coffee. I share that little fun fact at the end of this blog so keep reading! Or if you’re impatient like me, just skip all the mumbo jumbo in between and race to find out what it is.

So yeah, September is here, guys. This is a big deal because a lot of awesome things are beginning and/or are happening this month. Let’s go.

Labor Day Weekend

I found a really cool article about what exactly Labor Day is. Check it out here: What Is Labor Day? History and Meaning.

Here’s a snippet from the article,

‘In places like New York and Chicago, men and women—and in many cases small children—could be expected to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, with only short breaks for lunch and other meals. The word “weekend” hadn’t been invented yet, and “vacation” referred to a few spare minutes at home—as opposed to time away from home’

If that doesn’t make you appreciate your weekends and time off, I don’t know what does!

Okay, now to the fun part. Look at this list of fun places Bonny recommends you take a road trip should you get the chance! This blog should at least get your creative and spontaneous juices flowing in prep for the long weekend.

FOOTBALL

Honestly, what else is there to say other than ‘CHIEEEEEEEEFS!!!’? And you know the voice.

Between #Mahomes, #Kelce, and #TyreekHill, you know this season is going to be jam PACKED with all the thrills of the drills.

Here’s a Printable Schedule so you never miss a game!

Fall Begins

This month, we say goodbye to summer and welcome in a new season. Falling leaves, pecan pie and cinnamon roll scented candles, cozy sweaters, and open windows, need I say more? Sept 22, the first day of Fall, is the official day that it will be completely appropriate for you to purchase a #PSL without shame. That’s pumpkin spice latte for all you newbies out there. Speaking of pumpkin spice lattes, trust me when I say that if you’ve never had one, just get one. You will not regret it.

And speaking of PSLs, because of their complete and total deliciousness and their mark on the season, they deserve their own section in this blog. Keep reading.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes and a #Starbucks Hack

Had to share a little #DidYouKnow with you because who doesn’t love learning new worthless information?

Pulled from this article, did you know…

  • -The Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe has been unchanged in 11 years.
  • -One of the original ideas for the name was “Fall Harvest Latte.”
  • -“PSL” was the original beverage code for Pumpkin Spice Latte written by baristas on cups, and soon became the drink’s nickname.
  • -Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is now available in nearly 50 countries throughout the Americas and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) regions.
  • -During the fall, customers express their #PSL enthusiasm with an average of more than 3,000 tweets per day.

I wasn’t lying, they’re legit the bee’s knees.

Okay, I told you earlier I had a fun fact to share, so here it is! Click below to find out.
